Foose to visit BC?
Scouts and college coaches appear to be on the same page when it comes to Paramus (N.J.) Catholic rising senior Dan Foose. The massive 6-foot-6, 310-pound lineman has put together an impressive offer sheet and he's ranked the No. 52 offensive tackle in the nation by Rivals.com.
Foose is starting to sort through the recruiting process in a constructive manner. Recently he spoke with a coach from Illinois who was vacationing. Though the conversation was brief, Foose learned that the coach and his own high school coach would be communicating in order to set up a visit.
Will that trip be an unofficial or an official?
"Well, we're trying to see which way to go with that," Foose told EagleAction.com. "My high school coach knows our schedule so we're trying to mix and match. Maybe it will be an unofficial visit, but if we can't do that then we'll definitely do an official visit later."
Foose said he does not have a list of, say, three or five schools that he would put above the others recruiting him at the moment. However, a quick glance at the list of schools that he wants to visit may be telling.
"I'll probably visit Illinois, Stanford, Boston College, Rutgers and maybe UCF or another school," he said. "That's just what I'd say at this point."
What has the Eagles in the mix?
"I'm high on them, definitely," he said. "I'm gonna go up there one of these weeks I have off since it's a close drive. I think I like the coaching staff ... especially the line coach. I'd like to get to their practices and get around them just to get a better feel for things."
Foose said he will probably make his decision after the third or fourth game of his senior season at Paramus Catholic.
