Pennsylvania star picks Vandy

Vanderbilt's recruiting momentum continues to pick up steam as Thursday, another high school star made his commitment public.

Alber (Pa.) running back Myron Ross told VandySports.com that he's chosen the Commodores. Ross is a 6-foot-1, 205-pound running back at Wissahickon Senior High.

"Yes, I made my verbal to Vanderbilt when I went down there," Ross told VandySports.com on Thursday.

Ross suffered an injury as a junior, which limited him to just seven games. But in those contests, Ross rushed for 1,057 yards at the Philadelphia-area.

Ross projects as a 215-to-220-pound tailback in college, and had started to draw the attention of a number of major schools in the Northeast.

Ross did not have time for further comment, but VandySports.com will follow up more with him on Thursday evening.
