Bruins land verstile DL

The Bruins landed a versatile and athletic defensive lineman who has the potential to be very good. He is just coming into his own as a football player and best days fortunately for Bruin fans are ahead of him. He has the character, discipline and work ethic to get the job done.

The newest Bruin is three-star defensive lineman Wesley Flowers (6-4, 250, 4.9) from one of the central valley's most prolific prospect producing programs Fresno (Calif.) Edison.

Flowers talks about his commitment.

"I always wanted to play in the Pac 10," Flowers said. "My grandmother, who raised me since I was three years old, told me I'm going to play in California.

"I went to UCLA's camp and I liked the campus and its environment," Flowers said. "It was quiet.

"UCLA has a pretty good academic program and that was important to me," Flowers said. "I also like UCLA's athletic programs and I like their football coaches."
