Vols Check Out Illinois QB

The need for a quarterback (or two) in the 2010 signing class has been a hot topic in the months since Lane Kiffin has been at the helm of the Tennessee program. That's only been magnified in the last three weeks with the Vols' coaching staff on the road during the spring evaluation window. This week's quarterback search included a stop in Lake Forest, Ill. to look at Tommy Rees.

Rees (6-foot-3, 192 pounds) is a prospect who has seen interest from college programs rise dramatically this spring. Tennessee officially become one of those interested programs this week when offensive coordinator Jim Chaney trekked to Lake Forest high school to watch Rees practice.
