Beavers looking at OC running back

One of the top running back prospects in Orange County has three early offers to his name and that number could increase in the coming days and weeks. Oregon State was in town on Monday to pay the soon-to-be senior who totaled more than 2,000 yards from scrimmage a visit.

La Habra (Calif.) La Habra High School running back Joshua Quezada is likely to be one of the top running back prospects in Orange County in 2009 and for good reason. He rushed for 1,613 yards and 15 touchdowns on the ground and showed his versatility with 21 pass receptions for another 304 yards and three touchdowns through the air.

With early offers from Fresno State, Hawaii and New Mexico State, Quezada says the Beavers have come into the fold.

"I talked to Oregon State on Monday," Quezada said. "Their running backs coach (Davis) was here on Monday and he said he was impressed with my running style and invited me to their full-contact camp."
