Suspensions finally confirmed by UGA
As first reported by UGASports, Georgia head coach Mark Richt has suspended three players - including two presumed starters - for an undetermined number of games for a violation of team rules.
Sports Information Director Claude Felton confirmed Wednesday afternoon that Richt has suspended tight end Bruce Figgins, defensive end Justin Houston for two and wide receiver Tony Wilson for an untold number of games this fall.
Figgins, who underwent offseason shoulder surgery, played in 11 games for the Bulldogs last fall with two starts and caught two passes for 32 yards.
Houston played in all 13 games for Georgia, collecting 19 tackles, including 2.5 sacks. The Statesboro native made one start and was coming off an excellent spring practice and was listed as a starter on the team's post-spring depth chart.
Wilson, who battled an ankle injury for most of last year, played in just five games last fall with one catch for two yards.
