Practice Report: Session No. 4

First day of week two, first day of outdoor practices, first day of enjoying football in the sun; It doesn't get much better if you're up for an early morning. But not always the best circumstances for staying focused and driven. The fourth spring practice of the year had a ho-hum daily routine kind of feeling to it, at least in comparison to the first week of practices.

There were a few good hits, and players/coaches aren't about to say they were taking it easy, but to an educated spectator today's practice didn't have the same intensity as some of those in the first week. Even so, the Ducks of Spring continue to work and make progress.

Bruising Running back LeGarrette Blount was active for the first time this spring, swapping a walking boot for a set of pads and a red non-contact jersey. He limped through a few individual drills. Outside linebacker Spencer Paysinger, who had been the Ducks' best defensive player in week one, strapped on the walking boot for a while after getting his legs tangled up in coverage on Friday, but said that he would be back in action by Wednesday.
