Rogers ready to visit Mississippi State
Recruits are often times caught off guard by the amount of attention they receive leading up to national signing day.
But the recruiting spotlight is something that Calhoun, Ga., four-star athlete Da'Rick Rogers has been prepared for.
"I'm not really too surprised," Rogers said of the attention. "I transferred into a good program and the coaches have been trying to get me ready for what was going to come. It seems like it's all falling into place. It's kind of overwhelming but I'm taking it in stride. I'm just trying to live life and soak it up."
Rogers had a breakout junior campaign catching 66 passes for over 1,300 yards and 11 touchdowns and leading Calhoun to a 12-3 record and a birth in the AA State Championship game last season.
So far Rogers holds offers from Mississippi State, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, LSU, West Virginia and UCF.
A Georgia native, Rogers grew up watching football in the Southeastern Conference on Saturdays and would someday like to show off his tremendous talents there.
"I prefer the SEC because that's what I watched growing up," Rogers said. "That is big time football and a lot of competition here in the South."
The 6-foot-3, 206-pounder named Mississippi State as being one of the top contenders for his signature on signing day.
