A&M signee putting up huge numbers
Charleston (SC) Porter Gaud School small forward Khris Middleton was a late bloomer in recruiting circles, which shouldn't be a surprise since he's younger than just about everyone in his class. But the late charge from Middleton turned out to be Texas A&M's gain as the Aggies pounced on the 6-foot-7, 215-pound Rivals.com three-star prospect earlier than anyone else, which paid off in his signature on a National Letter-of-Intent during the early signing period in November.
Now Middleton is showing off just what kind of a player the Aggies picked up in what could become known as the steal of the class of 2009. So far during his senior season, Middleton has torn up opponents and the South Carolina Independent School Athletic Association to the tune of 24 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, three steals and two blocks per game in just 24 minutes per game.
Middleton is ranked as the No. 150 player in the 2009 Rivals150 and signed with Texas A&M over scholarship offers from Charlotts, South Carolina and Saint Joseph's and increasing interest from Oklahoma, Clemson, Michigan, Marquette, Virginia Tech, Georgia and Georgia Tech.
