Aggies looking at Boswell
Keller Fossil Ridge kicker Chris Boswell has all kinds of decisions to make before signing day.
The 6-foot-3, 180-pound Boswell is one of the better kickers in the state of Texas, having been perfect on all of his 182 extra points during four years of high school football and hitting 39 of 44 field goals during that time with a long of 51 yards. He started punting this year at the request of the Fossil Ridge coaching staff and averaged 38 yards per kick. In addition, he was one of two kickers to participate in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
Boswell received a scholarship offer from North Texas some time ago and was scheduled to take an official visit there on Jan. 16. However, Rice offered him earlier this week and he will now be taking an official visit to Rice that weekend since his father will also be in Houston during that time.
Also, Texas Tech and Texas A&M have inquired about Boswell becoming a walk-on for the 2009 season. That's where things start to get interesting.
