Sanders gaining popularity among colleges
Fort Worth Dunbar athlete Dominique Sanders has a tendency to get overshadowed by highly regarded teammate Darius White. Sanders, however, has built up an equally impressive resume on the football field and may be an even more versatile performer on it.
Sanders plays the slot position in Dunbar's spread offense and caught 41 passes for 503 yards and four touchdowns. He also ran reverses and sweeps to the tune of 565 yards on 49 carries (an 11.4-yard per carry average). In addition, Sanders is a backup cornerback and started at the position earlier in his career. He's been a starter since the first game of his sophomore season and has been an All-District selection each of those years.
As a result, Sanders is getting an impressive amount of letters from schools all across the country. In fact, he said that he has already been offered by four schools. He has scholarship offers from Texas Tech, SMU and Minnesota and is gaining significant interest from Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.
