Heastie remains high on Mountaineers

CHESAPEAKE, Va.--Logan Heastie reiterated his commitment to West Virginia Friday night after his Great Bridge High team lost to cross-town foe Western Branch 59-30 in Group AAA football.

Heastie caught two passes in the game for 40 yards, largely because his quarterback was picked off five times in rain that fell through the first three quarters.

"We just were having trouble throwing the ball down field. It happens," said the 6-3, 195-pound wide receiver who pledged to WVU last March and plans to enroll in Morgantown in January after completing credits for his diploma.
