Dawgs take lead for 2010 ATH

One of the many underclassmen Georgia had on campus last weekend has now moved the Bulldogs to the top of his list. This 2010 athlete is claiming three offers already and he feels UGA could be very close. After visiting Athens, checking out the atmosphere, and spending time with the coaches, Georgia has taken the early lead for DeMarco McNeal.

"Georgia called my coach last week and invited me to the Alabama game as a recruit," said McNeal. "It was first game up at Georgia, the crowd was hostile, the campus was very nice, and I liked it a lot up there."

When McNeal arrived, he walked around the Butts-Mehre building for a bit before talking with a couple of Georgia coaches.

"I talked to Coach Rodney Garner for a while and I like him. He let me know what they look for in a recruit at Georgia and that they really like me. I gave him my film while I was and he talked to me about possibly offering me after he watches my film."

"I also talked to Coach Richt for a little bit and then I listened to him talk to all of the recruits about Georgia, their program, and things like that."

The atmosphere was one of the things that stood out to the 5-foot-11, 165 pound athlete out of College Park (GA) Banneker. Georgia fell to Alabama, but that meant nothing to the Trojan.
