Practice Report: Tide readies for Razorbacks

The Alabama football team continued preparations for its Southeastern Conference opener against Arkansas with a full-pad practice at the Thomas-Drew Practice Facility on Wednesday. Here are some observations from the media viewing period from BamaOnLine.com.

***Sophomore offensive guard David Ross and Freshman offensive tackle John Michael Boswell worked with the first team offensive line of Wednesday. Ross and Boswell replaced Senior guard Marlon Davis and Junior tackle Drew Davis. Marlon had worked his way back into the starting lineup after suffering a hamstring pull in the first quarter of the Tide's game against Tulane two weeks ago.

*** Julio Jones and the rest of the Crimson Tide receivers worked on getting off of man coverage on Wednesday. Last season the Crimson Tide saw lots of man coverage in their game against the Razorbacks and torched them for over 300 yards passing in the game.

*** Cory Reamer worked at the 'Will' in individual drills on Wednesday. Reamer has worked at the 'Sam' in the early part of the season did start off in the middle at the beginning of fall camp.

*** Prince Hall got some reps with the first team defense during recognition drills. Hall ran while the defense was in their Dime package. Look for Hall to get more playing time this week against the 'Hogs.

*** UA will return to the practice field on Thursday to make final preparations before flying to Fayetteville.
