V-Cast: Comp and Konyndyk break down shut out of FAU

EAST LANSING - Michigan State pitched its first shutout since Julian Peterson and Robaire Smith anchored the Spartan defensive line in 1999 on Saturday with a 17-0 win over Florida Atlantic.

After the game, staffers Jim Comparoni and Paul Konyndyk stepped outside the press box for some post-game analysis in their lastest V-Cast.

One of the main focal points of the post-game V-Cast was the play of the senior captain Javon Ringer who had the most productive rushing game of his career with 282 yards on 43 carries. Ringer scored both of Michigan State's touchdowns and would have added another had a holding call not nullified a lengthy run for a touchdown.

Comp and Konyndyk also spent time breaking down the play of Michigan State's defense. Brandon Long, Otis Wiley, Greg Jones, and Chris L. Rucker were among the players that had the best games against FAU.
