Top 2010 QB playing a little defense

Although a number of Texas high schools open play this weekend in what is described as week zero by the UIL, many schools will scrimmage each other in preparation for their openers next weekend.

One of those schools is Huntsville, which will face off against Livingston, a former district opponent, before debuting in week one. The Hornets return most of their starters from last year, including class of 2010 quarterback Justin Gilbert who will be adding some qualifications to his football resume this fall besides yardage and touchdowns.

The 6-foot-1, 173-pound prospect is gaining interest from Texas A&M, Texas, LSU, Oregon, Tennessee and Florida.
