The 2008 Summer Workout Awards presents our annual summer workout awards:

Newcomer - Nigel Bradham
The highest ranked member of Florida State's 2008 recruiting class was Nigel Bradham so it's no surprise that the 239-pound linebacker had the best off-season of all the newcomers. While he certainly earned the honor, the freshman from Wakulla got a leg up on the competition by enrolling in January. He has taken his opportunity and run with it and is a workout warrior both in the weight room and on the practice field for workouts. Where he really wowed everybody was in the strength and performance tests. He followed up his 4.52 40-time in June with some amazing numbers this past week finishing in the top five in the bench press (470), the power clean (350) and the vertical jump (36.5").

Stroud's Comment: "In 23 years I haven't seen one like him as far as the sheer numbers."

This season: Bradham will be battling for playing time at Sam linebacker.

Also Considered:Terrance Parks, Vince Williams, E.J. Manuel, Jarmon Fortson and Moses McCray
