Allen nears his decision, struggles with choice
For all of the great quarterbacks in the state of Texas this year, few have had more on field success than San Antonio Alamo Heights standout Drew Allen. The 6-foot-5, 198-pound signal-caller has led his team to 24 wins over the past two seasons including a 10-2 mark last year.
Now with the start of his team's two-a-days just a week away Allen was planning to start narrowing down his field of choices and quite possibly make a decision in that same seven-day span.
With a recent offer from Oklahoma there were some questions that Allen would be pushing the date back. However he isn't quite sure of just what his plan is over the next few weeks. Well, other than a decision will be made within those few weeks.
"I'd really like to make the decision when I had planned to but it might last until school starts on August 25," Allen explained. "I don't think this things is going to carry on too long. I can say that for sure.
"School starts the 25, I don't think it is going to go any further than that."
