3-star OT has offer from the Black Knights

The list of quality offensive linemen that Army continues to offer and hopefully receive a verbal commitment from continues to grow.

This impressive list includes 2-star recruit Cody Bohler (NJ), 2-star Jake Morin (KS), 3-star Gavin Pascarella (CA), 3-star Charles Siddoway (OR), and then there another 3-star prospect in Travis Swanson out of Kingwood (TX) Kingwood who make up part of the targeted group of linemen that the Black Knights have on their radar.

For Swanson, he has already picked up three offers (Army, Kansas and Arizona). Of the three schools that have offered, Swanson has camped at Arizona and did a "go & see" visit at Kansas, but has yet to take an unofficial to Army. "I called and spoke to Coach Waugh two weeks ago about visiting and I'm interested in Army," shares the 6-foot-6, 282 pound prospect who is being recruiting by the Black Knights' safety coach, Adam Waugh. "Right now, I'm open to whoever is really interested in me."

Aside from the aforementioned schools, Swanson is also receiving some interest from Texas Tech and Houston. "I'm hearing from Houston a lot and I'm going to their camp (1 day) on Friday," shared on Swanson on Wednesday. "The Tech coaches have been on vacation, so we shall there."

Swanson will probably be looking to slow down any further camps and concentrate on his upcoming senior year and by his on account, he has been going, going and going since the first day out of school (junior year) and needs a little break.

His Kingwood High School team was knocked out of the playoffs in the 1st round last year to the 4th ranked team in the state (Class 5A) and are looking to rebound this season.

For the most part, Swanson is being recruited as an offensive tackle, and has a very aggressive style of play. If there's an area that he feels he needs to work on, it would be his strength, although his max bench is 285 pounds and he squats 410 pounds.

GoBlackKnights.com will continue to stay in touch with Swanson throughout his recruiting process!
