ISU in the lead for 3-star back

Dallas (Texas) Skyline running back James White picked up his first two offers in the spring, but summer has seen White's offer totals continue to rise. Two new programs have extended offers to White in just the last two weeks and one of those programs has jumped to the top of his list of favorites.

Minnesota and Colorado were the two schools that offered White during the spring. Iowa State and Utah are the three-star running back's most recent offers.

"That came through a week and a half ago from Iowa State. They had talked to my coach and my coach let me know and told me to give them a call," White said. "Utah came in after that. Utah had done the same thing - called my coach and I called them back on the phone."

Style of play and conference affiliation are two things working in ISU's favor with White, Rivals' no. 35 all-purpose back.

"I love Iowa State. That's who I have in mind as my No. 1 choice," White said. "After they offered me I had in my mind that they would be a good fit for me. That's the Big 12 right there. I wouldn't mind playing against the Texas' and Texas A&M's."
