BC still in it for Solomon Hill?

The stock of forward recruit Solomon Hill from Los Angeles is rising faster than almost any other recruit in the country. That couldn't be more visible just two weeks when GOAZCATS.com reported that Arizona had given an offer to Hill. During that interview, Hill was very forthcoming about how much he liked Arizona. So, the real question that BC fans want to know is if the offer from Arizona has hurt BC's chances at landing the prize recruit.

"I'm still keeping everything open until I take all my official visits. It's not going to make me make an early decision because they offered me, or anything like that," said Hill. Now I know that's there, and that's a good thing for me. If they (Arizona) change their mind, and dislike me, then I guess I'll lose out on that one, but as of now everything's open to me.

So which schools are Hill interested in?

"In addition to Boston College, I'm interested in DePaul, Gonzaga, Kansas State, Kentucky, Michigan, Oregon State, San Diego State, USC, Texas, San Diego, and Arizona," said Hill.

With so many schools in the mix, Hill hasn't made any unofficial visits yet. Is a trip to The Heights in the works?

"My dad and I are going to start making some unofficial visits in July and August. If it comes down to it and I have high interest in them I don't see why I wouldn't go (to BC)," said Hill. "As of now all of the schools are equal until I make some trips with my dad."

Hill plays for Fairfax, which was also the high school that former BC star Craig Smith went to. Does Smith's success at BC have any influence on Hill's feelings for the school?

"The kids from California were all successful at Boston College. I've seen Craig play, and if he made the decision to go to BC then it can only be a positive choice," said Hill.

Hill added that he's talked with Smith before.

"We've played basketball together, and he's come into school and we've talked. Next time I see him I'm going to ask about BC."

So what does BC think of Hill?

"They tell me they like how I'm big and can play on the wing," said Hill.

The wing position isn't all that Hill can play. In high school he's played point guard, wing, and down in the post, so obviously he's very versatile. So is there any part of his game that he's working on right now?

"I'm working on my outside shooting," said Hill. "Once I get that down I think everything will come around for me."

As for this summer, Hill will be attending the Vince Carter Camp in Florida and the Lebron Camp in Ohio.

As of right now, does Hill think he'll be ready to make a decision by the early signing period this fall?

"I doubt it, I'll probably be a late decision, because it will be one of my biggest decisions. Right now, I'm just trying to look at all the schools and figure out which ones I want to make an official visit to."
