New York OL likes Eagles

Offensive tackle Oday Aboushi holds three offers and has had a chance to check out a couple of schools he has a high level of interest in this summer. Where do the Eagles stand with the massive lineman from Brooklyn (N.Y.) Xaverian?

At 6-foot-6 and 300 pounds Aboushi runs the 40-yard dash in 5.2 seconds and has received offers from Iowa, Maryland and Rutgers.

While Aboushi has excellent potential as an offensive tackle he told EagleAction.com that Maryland, Pitt and Penn State are recruiting him as a defensive tackle.

How has his summer gone up to this point?

"I went to a Virginia camp recently and it actually went great," Aboushi said. "Out of all the kids there they said I was the best. They really liked my footwork and the offensive line coach and I got along well.

"I just came back from a Boston College camp too. That went great also. They said that I'm definitely an 'offer player', they just want to watch my film. They're going to call me on Tuesday and tell me if they're going to offer or not."

Aboushi does not have plans to camp at any other schools. He said he would like to make his decision by early September.

While he cannot pinpoint one school that stands out above the rest, there are a few that are in a good position.

"I mean as of now I really like Rutgers and Boston College," Aboushi explained. "(They) seem like good places to be and I like the coaches. Virginia is a great place too. There are several that would be good."
