Damonte Terry receives offer from ECU

GREENVILLE, N.C. - For Laurinburg (N.C.) Scotland County running back Damonte Terry, his visit to East Carolina was everything he was told it would be and more.

Last season Terry rushed for 1,221-yards and 15 touchdowns to help Scotland County to an 11-3 season.

East Carolina threw their name into the mix
on Saturday with an official scholarship offer and Terry said he had a great time in Greenville catching the spring game and checking out the facilities and staff.

"It went good, I like the coaches and I like the facilities", said Terry.

And Terry has some connections to the program with Adrian Jones headed to Greenville.

"I have a teammate who is going down there, Adrian Jones, and he told me how it was going to be like and it turned out exactly like he said it was and it was great - and a great trip to take."

How did the 6-2, 205 pounder rate his visit to East Carolina this past weekend?

"I'm going to grade it a ten", and according
to the Scotland County running back, "I got an offer from them yesterday too, as a runningback."

What all did Terry get to check out while at ECU?

"I looked at the weight room, all the new stuff, where the runningbacks watch film, where they changed to the new weight room in the Murphy Center from the old one."

Terry talked about some of his favorites currently, with no one school standing out as a leader as of yet.

"I like East Carolina, North Carolina State, North Carolina, South Carolina and Clemson, said Terry, "I don't have a leader but I'm interested in all of them, I like Coach (Junior) Smith a whole lot too, I really do."

Terry has a maximum bench press of 315 pounds and squat maxes 455 pounds and his recruitment is definately heating up.
