Scheelhaase visits Iowa City

Kansas City quarterback Nathan Scheelhaase has a busy spring ahead as he plans to get out and visit several of the schools on his list. On Sunday, the 6-foot-3, 184-pound Scheelhaase was in Iowa City to visit the Hawkeye football program where his father, Nate Creer, played in the 80's.

At Iowa, Scheelhaase and family had a chance to catch up with the coaches, go through position meetings with the quarterbacks, and watch the Hawkeyes work in spring practice.

Iowa was the first team to offer Scheelhaase, which happened back in June 2007 shortly after he attended their camp. Since then, he has continued to build his list, which now includes offers from Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Stanford, Arkansas, Wake Forest, and San Diego State, among others. Before arriving in Iowa City, Scheelhaase added one more to the list during a visit to Champaign, Illinois.

Up next, the dual-threat quarterback plans to visit Oklahoma, Kansas, and Nebraska in the coming weeks. Ideally, Scheelhaase would like to narrow down his list by the summer and then make all of his official visits before arriving at his decision.
