Tide OL enters spring as strength

More from Saban:

*** Linebacker Ezekial Knight has not been medically cleared and will sit out spring drills. Knight has been hospitalized with heart-related issues twice in the last two years.

*** Defensive back Chris Lett's condition has not changed and UA has petitioned for medical hardship status on Lett. Medical status would essentially end Lett's playing career. He would remain on scholarship but would not count against the 85-man roster limit.

*** Defensive end Luther Davis will not participate in spring drills due to personal reasons.

*** There has been no status change with tight end Colin Peek, a transfer from Georgia Tech who is appealing a rule that would compel him to sit out the 2008 season. The appeal is still pending.

*** Offensive lineman Patrick Crump and fullback Jeramie Griffin will miss the first two days of spring practice due to knee surgery.

*** Alabama will hold scrimmages on March 29 and April 5 prior to A-Day on April 12.
