Scheelhaase, whose father is former Iowa defensive back Nate Creer, received a scholarship offer from the Hawkeyes shortly after attending their camp last summer. Scheelhaase is hearing from a lot more than just the Hawkeyes though. Currently, his list of scholarship offers sits at nine with Iowa, Arkansas, Nebraska, Missouri, KU, Stanford, Oklahoma, Wake Forest, and San Diego State.

This winter, Scheelhaase has already made junior day visits to Kansas and Missouri and hopes to take a trip to Stanford in addition to Iowa. After that, he plans to start focusing on camps where he will make several one-day visits this summer with the list including Iowa, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Purdue, and Illinois, among others. Currently, Scheelhaase says he is remaining patient with the recruiting process and will wait until his senior year to make a decision.
