Commings: A Balanced Safety

One of the Georgia signees that kind of flew under the radar was safety Sanders Commings. Commings is a quiet young man that lets his actions speak for him. He is the QB of the secondary and he brings a very balanced game to Athens.

He is a 6-foot-1, 195-pound safety that can hit, cover, and make plays. He has great game speed, he really strikes his opponents well, and he does an outstanding job of reading the quarterback.

One thing that stands out as much or more than anything else is his toughness. He plays through injuries and gives it his all every time he steps on the field.

He is an athletic safety that is truly balanced. He may not be flashy, but he gets the job done and appears to be in the right place at the right time more times than not.

We were out to see Commings against Laney last fall and you can see him in action at safety and receiver. He made plays on both sides of the ball and we think he was one of the more underrated players in Georgia in 2008.
