An SEC school has an edge
Many top prospects are being talked about throughout the state of Georgia, but this defensive lineman is one of the best some may be overlooking. Derrick Lott has great size, athleticism, explosiveness, and potential on the next level and schools are starting to take notice.
"I don't have any offers yet, but I am starting to get a lot of mail and some schools came through to see me back before signing day," said Lott."
"Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Georgia Tech, Maryland, and Florida are ones sending the most letters right now and Georgia, Florida, Clemson, Michigan State, and South Carolina came through the school."
It seems like most schools came by at the right time to see the 6-foot-4, 265-pound junior hitting the weights.
"Most of the schools either came right when I started working out or they would stay until I started working out. I guess they wanted to see what I could do."
