Georgia offers out-of-state OL
One of the few out-of-state prospects on Georgia's campus this weekend left with some good news. A big offensive lineman by the name of Austin Long arrived without an offer from the Dawgs, but left with one in hand. He just visited another SEC program and he said gthey compared quite a bit.
"I visited Alabama recently and a lot of things at Georgia compared to them," said Long. "I thought the dorms at Alabama would be the best I would see, but Georgia's were very nice. They were set up a lot alike and they were awesome."
"I also loved the campus at Georgia at how it was set up. We got to go inside the stadium and onto the field and I loved it. We watched a highlight tape and it was great. The field was awesome and I loved the visit."
He loved the visit even more at the end when he met with Bulldogs head coach Mark Richt.
"We were at the basketball game and Coach Richt called me into this room down below. We were talking about the recruiting process and how things worked and he then asked me if anyone had offered me yet."
"I said, yes sir, Alabama just offered me and then Coach Richt said, has Georgia offered you yet and I said no sir and he said, well how about we offer you right now. It was cool and kind of funny, but very surprising. It was a big surprise."
