Relentless Pirates this way cometh
February 2, 2007 - Pirates throughout antiquity have always used speed to overcome larger maritime foes; the adage 'speed kills' certainly applies, as one web resource notes many buccaneers, particularly in the Caribbean, "preferred small, fast vessels such as sloops, brigantines and schooners", all known for speed and maneuverability.
Seton Hall University's men's hoops team can be considered akin to those marauders of old, as the squad, coached by Bobby Gonzalez is chock full of fast ball players capable of driving to the cup or shooting long distance shots. For a case study in how this game, gutsy group of Pirates have run off five straight victories, see their recent 84-71 overtime victory at Rutgers.
To a man, Georgetown, itself pasting St. Johns 74-42 in New York Wednesday, is quite aware of what challenges Seton Hall presents today at noon, inside D.C.'s Verizon Center.
