Malbrough explains his decision to switch

It is rare for a prospect to take an official visit to one school and come back committed to another. But that is exactly what happened with Beaumont (TX) defensive end Marcus Malbrough. The 6-foot-5, 225-pounder went to Iowa last weekend as a Hawkeye commitment, but he switched his pledge to Missouri upon returning home.

Malbrough took his official visit to Columbia the weekend before his trip to Iowa and that is what really planted the seed of turning his commitment to the Tigers. He was hosted by defensive lineman Ziggy Hood.

Malbrough cites his speed and his reaction off the ball as his strengths on the football field. He has his goals set as being part of the rotation at defensive end for Mizzou as a true freshman. Malbrough admitted it has been a hectic couple of days, but he's happy with his final decision.
