Video: Boykin stepped it up
Fayette County was not expecting a perfect season in 2007, but they ended the regular season at 10-0, they won a first round playoff game and controlled most of game number twelve before falling in the last minute. One big reason why the Tigers were so successful was four-star UGA commitment Brandon Boykin. A key game on their schedule was Creekside and Boykin showed why he is considered one of Georgia's best.
We were in Fairburn that chilly Friday night when many felt that Fayette County's dream season of a perfect 10-0 record would come to an end.
The Tigers traveled to Creekside and even though Eric Berry had moved on to Tennessee, the Seminoles were still a tough bunch on the football field.
Georgia commitment Brandon Boykin led the Tigers into battle at the quarterback and cornerback positions. He set the tone early with a nice touchdown run from 40-yards out and he made big play after big play converting big third and fourth down situations.
A camera was on the 5-foot-10, 175-pound speedster and he showed why he is in the UGASports 2008 Top 10. Get a good look at Boykin's athleticism here on both sides of the ball and why Georgia fans are excited about his future in Athens.
