One on one with 5-star Favors

2009 Top five power forward Derrick Favors out of South Atlanta is not only one of, if not the most exciting player in Georgia, but he is also arguably the top player in the nation. He took a moment to talk with UGASports about his season so far, and here is what he had to say.

How does It feel to be a consensus top ten or five player in the country?

"It feels good knowing all your hard work is paying off. It comes with a lot of pressure, but it is not bad pressure."

How is your season going so far?

"Our season is going great. We only have one loss and that was to the number one team in country."

The Bojangles tournament seemed to put your skills to the test as you played some talented teams, can you tell me what you took from the games?

"Yeah it showed I had a lot more work to do. I need to learn to stay out of foul trouble and become more of a team player. I think developing more leadership will help me do that."

With countless offers, do you have any schools that are recruiting you harder than others? What was your favorite school growing up?
