Four-star Lane showing early interest in Cavs

When Dave Leitao was hired at Virginia, he said the Cavaliers would recruit nationally. And that has been the case in the past and will continue in the future.

UVa is looking for help at the forward positions in the class of 2009 and one player on the wish list is Rocklin (Calif.) High School standout Brendan Lane.

And the 6-foot-9, 200-pounder isn't just one of the top players on the West Coast; he's among the best in the nation.

Rivals.com ranks Lane as a four-star prospect and as the No. 35 overall player in the class of 2009. Given that lofty status, it's no surprise that Lane has an impressive list of suitors.
