Ingram changes plans after visit from Enos

Flint Southwestern Academy running back Mark Ingram Jr. completed his third official visit last weekend. And if his official visit to Iowa did anything, it left him with even more options to ponder.

The son of former Spartan great and New York Giants star Mark Ingram , came back from Iowa impressed with what he saw.

"I thought my trip went great," Ingram Jr. said. "It was a real nice trip. Overall, it was very impressive. It was a lot more than I thought it would be. I thought it would be way out in the country, but it was a real nice place with a lot of real nice people."

But aside from being surprised by the atmosphere in Iowa City, Ingram was also surprised to learn that the Hawkeyes lack depth at running back. Iowa, believes Ingram, would give him an excellent opportunity for early playing time.

"They are graduating their top two backs from this year," said Ingram Jr., the No. 9 ranked player in the state of Michigan by Rivals.com, "and the two backs they have coming back are walk-ons. The opportunity is there to step in immediately and be a starter. They also have some good, young players returning. It just makes my decision that much harder to make."
