Steeples enjoys official visit
DeSmet CB Robert Steeples enjoyed his unofficial visits to Missouri over the past several months. After this weekends official visit, Steeples came back very excited about his upcoming time at Missouri.
Over the fall, Steeples got to meet a few of his future teammates at football games, like Andrew Jones and Blaine Gabbert. This past weekend, however, he got the chance to meet several of his teammates as well as two potential teammates while in Columbia.
Steeples said that along with meeting several of his fellow recruits, he met up with several of his other future teammates. He added that he spent a lot of time over the weekend joking with his host about events a few years back.
Steeples joked that he had been committed to Missouri long enough that he didn't need to talk with the coaches this past weekend. He laughed and added that he always enjoyed getting the chance to talk with coaches that he considered friends and wanted to show the same dedication to them as they did to him.
Overall, Steeples said that he enjoyed his visit, but a few moments stuck out in his mind. He said that it was excited to participate in a few activities with other guys as they got to know each other as they got ready for their time at Missouri.
Before he signs with Missouri, Steeples said there was one more game for him to watch this year. He admitted he wasn't a morning person, but to get up and watch the Tigers on New Years, he wouldn't have a problem doing it.
Steeples said that while he knew this past weekend was a big weekend for visitors, next weekend may be even bigger. He wasn't sure, but he hoped he might be able to come down again to meet other teammates and try to talk with others about making their decision.
