Boykin is ready to play for Georgia

The top cornerback in Georgia visited Athens this weekend and he learned a lot. Brandon Boykin has been there many times before on unofficial visits, but this official visit gave him more time to meet players, get to the know the coaches, learn more about the academic system and see what it was like to be a Bulldog. This Rivals250 corner liked what he saw and is excited about his future.

"I don't even know where to start because things went so well," said Boykin when asked about his official visit to Georgia. "I got to hang with the players, spend time with Coach Martinez, learn more about the program and the whole visit was great."

Boykin's host was Asher Allen, but he was not the only current Bulldog he spent time with.

"I hung out with a lot of them, but I was around Asher, Jeff Owens, Caleb King, Akeem Dent and Vance Cuff the most. They were all real cool and we had a great."

The oldest player Boykin spent time with offered some insight about what he should expect when he gets to Athens.

"Jeff Owens was great and he told all of recruits a lot. He talked to us about the summer and how it is tough coming in as a freshman, but just to keep pushing. He said it gets hard, but just to work through it."

"He said there is a lot of adversity out there, but not to worry about girls, partying or anything like that - just focus on what is going on with the team. The most important thing he said was just to get an education while at Georgia because football is not always there."
