Whitlock's decison could be close
Chester (S.C.) four-star athlete Charles Whitlock is the No. 4 ranked player in the state of South Carolina this year and at the top of many wish lists of teams across the country. One of those teams is South Carolina, and the Gamecocks had the versatile Whitlock in for an official visit this past weekend.
"It went alright," said Whitlock. "I enjoyed the game. I enjoyed everything. I had fun. I'd give it a 10. They made me feel welcomed. I talked to the players and went in the locker room and everything. They (coaches) were talking about playing me on offense. They've got big plans for me. They like to see me with the ball in my hands. I like that."
Despite witnessing the Gamecocks losing their fourth straight game, Whitlock still came away impressed.
"As far as them losing, it really doesn't matter," he said. "I see in the future that they're going to be a really good team. They're kind of young. I feel like a year from now or two years from now, I see them being good. Real good."
Having already tripped to Alabama and North Carolina earlier this season, Whitlock has now taken three of his five official visits.
