Change of venue for Auburn Wednesday
Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville wanted a change of atmosphere, and a little more lighting.
Wednesday, he got both a block down the street.
The Tigers, for the first time all season, moved practice from the fields behind the athletic complex to Jordan-Hare Stadium. Tuberville said the primary cause for the move was lack of light on the practice fields.
"This is the first week it gets dark at five and our lights just aren't good enough out there to get the practice we wanted," said Tuberville.
Plus, he said, the change of venue is always a boost for the players.
"When we go in there our guys always have a good time," said Tuberville. "It's a change of atmosphere."
Auburn worked for more than two hours Wednesday inside the stadium, and Tuberville said he could tell the difference.
