Number Crunching


The increase in kicker Chris Summers' success rate on field goals, through 10 games, over last season.

As a freshman in 2006, he made just 8-of-20 kicks, for 40 percent.

Ten games into his sophomore year, he's 13-of-16, good for 81.3. The Boilermaker single-season record is 83.3, set by Ben Jones (25-of-30) in 2003.

His 4-for-4 game this past weekend tied him with five others for the top single-game kicking performance in Purdue history

His 50-yard kick at Penn State was his longest make, besting the 47-yarder he made against Wisconsin last season.

Purdue kickers must like State College; Jones also hit from 50 in Beaver Stadium in 2004.
