No homecoming for nicked up players

Coach Randy Shannon wrapped up the team's final practice of the bye week today with some words of warning for his players: He told them to stay out of trouble and do the right things.

And he also called out several players into a group during a team huddle at the end of drills. The players in the group have to get cleared by doctors before they can go home for the bye weekend.

One player whose name wasn't called: Quarterback Kirby Freeman.

When Shannon asked if any other players were nicked up and needed to be with the injured group, Freeman voluntarily placed himself with the group of about 20 other players.
