With Brohm at QB, Pitt has a choice on defense

Yes, Louisville is 4-4 overall and 1-2 in the Big East this season. Yes, the Cardinals have lost to Syracuse at home.

And yes, the Cardinals have struggled to stop virtually anyone through eight games in 2007.

But make no mistake about it: Louisville still has Brian Brohm, and as long as that's the case, the Cardinals are always a threat.

"I'm a big Brian Brohm fan," Pitt head coach Dave Wannstedt said this week.

"I felt like last year he might have been the best quarterback in the draft. He doesn't make many mistakes and right now he's throwing for about 400 yards a game. They've been inconsistent as a team, but it's not because of him, that's for darn sure."
