Terps ready to renew rivalry

While there's talk of Virginia being this year's Wake Forest, the Cavaliers look more like last year's Maryland.

"They've been winning the close games and they're ranked now," said Terrapins linebacker Dave Philistin at Tuesday's weekly press briefing. "They've got a lot of confidence now."

"Yeah, they're winning close games, winning that moment that it takes," said Keon Lattimore. "It reminds me of us last year."

And last year, it was the Virginia game that turned the Terrapins' season around. Trailing 20-0 at halftime, the Terrapins rallied for a 28-26 victory to start a five-game winning streak.

No doubt that factoid will be on a veteran Virginia team's mind when they land in Chevy Chase Bank Field at Byrd Stadium for an 8 p.m. game Saturday night to be nationally-televised on ESPN2.
