Prospects play under the lights

Each week the Pantherlair takes a quick look at prospects around the state of Pennsylvania that should be of interest to Pitt fans. We report on how they did and how their team is doing this fall. We also look at a few out of state prospects that the Pitt coaching staff is currently recruiting.

For the second year in a row Marshall stunned top-ranked Churchville Chili in the first round of the district playoffs. This time Marshall scored with 47 seconds left to steal the win by a score of 18-14. Churchville Chili (6-1) opened the season by hammering Marshall 31-6. For the second year in a row Averin Collier was not a full strength for the playoffs. Collier was held to 56 yards on only 10 carries. Last year Marshall upset the Saints 12-7 in the playoffs. The Jurists now advance to the semifinals in Section V Class AA.
