Four-star tackle Mattes is making the rounds

Concord (N.C.) Robinson offensive tackle R.J. Mattes (6-foot-7, 283 pounds, 5.1 seconds) has been visiting as many schools as he can during the early portion of his senior season.

The four-star tackle has visited Clemson, North Carolina, N.C. State and South Carolina. Virginia is the only one of Mattes' finalists that has not received a visit for a game this season.

Will the Robinson standout visit Charlottesville?

"I am going to be coming up soon. I don't have an exact date set yet but I will likely visit Virginia twice before I make my decision," said Mattes.

Mattes was scheduled to take an official visit to Virginia for the Pittsburgh game two weeks ago but because of the timing of the game, he and UVa assistant Mike Groh felt it was in his best interest to reschedule.
