Top junior QB visits Rutgers

One quarterback that RU has already set their sights on for the Class of 2009 is Tom Savage of Philadelphia (PA) Cardinal O'Hara. Savage, who will be one of the top quarterback recruits in the country next year, had a chance to attend his first Rutgers game last weekend, and ScarletNation.com had a chance to get his thoughts on the experience.

Savage, 6-foot-4 and 219-pounds, has completed 60 of 93 passes for 706 yards and 8 touchdowns so far during his junior season. He has also rushed for 2 touchdowns, while playing in three games.

While Savage may be down playing his recruitment, in reality, he does already hold a number of written offers. In his possession right now are offers from Rutgers, Miami, Illinois, Iowa, NC State, Louisville, and Syracuse, while he believes his coach has his offer from Pittsburgh and that an offer from Michigan is in the mail.
