Te'o making waves from across the Pacific
Polynesian football players can be seen on quite a few college rosters on Saturdays and an increasing number of NFL rosters on Sundays. However, never has the state of Hawaii produced a five-star prospect. 2009 will most likely be the year that changes.
Manti Te'o is a 6-foot-2, 230-pound linebacker prospect from the Punahou School in Honolulu. Despite that fact that college coaches have to make quite the commute to watch him play, Te'o has already racked up double-digit written offers since September 1.
He has offers from USC, UCLA, BYU, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Oregon, Stanford and others.
