Prospects play under the lights

West Scranton beat Wallenpaupack 27-0 to improve their record to a 4-1 record Friday night. The Invaders defense allowed just 112 total yards and the Buckhorns had as many punts, six, as first downs. West Scranton coach Mike DeAntona's team features senior Hubie Graham and junior Eric Shrive. Both players have offers from Pitt. West Scranton will host rival Scranton (3-2) this Friday night.

Penn Hills (2-3) upended Kiski Area 46-20. Kiski (2-2) quarterback Josh Vick threw two touchdown passes to James O'Quinn and Tyler Emmerson. Vick completed 13 of 18 for 149 yards. Kiski will try to bounce back on the road Friday night when they play at Plum (1-4).

The Clairton Bears are ranked No. 1 in the WPIAL in Class A and the state. Friday night they showed why as Clairton (4-1) dominated previously unbeaten Springdale (4-1) 26-0. Clairton running back Zaire Washington rushed for 240 yards on 39 carries. Pitt commit Manny Williams caught the 2-point conversion to put the Bears up, 8-0. Fullback Manny Williams scored Clairton's final touchdown on a 4-yard pass from Webb with 6:09 left in the third quarter. Clairton will host Riverview this Friday night.
