PA junior lands first offer

Pitt's recruiting efforts on the offensive and defensive line are starting to show results on the field, especially with the defensive line. The old school thinking was to bring in big linemen. Pitt's current coaching staff is looking for more athletic linemen; linemen who may be taller and not weigh as much, as well as linemen who excel in other sports.

They have offered junior Eric Shrive, out of West Scranton High School, the same school as four-star tight end Hubie Graham. Pitt is the first school to offer Shrive, while Rutgers and Syracuse will give their written offers any day. Rutgers head coach Greg Schiano will be at Shrive's game against Abington Heights this weekend
