Kentucky landed a huge verbal commitment on Friday when four-star Mason County swingman Darius Miller decided to end his recruitment.
"Darius called Billy Gillispie this morning and told him that he wants to play for him at Kentucky," said the player's father, Brian Miller.
Miller (6-6, 216) is rated the No. 7 small forward in the country by Rivals.com and the No. 45 prospect overall. As a junior at Mason County, he averaged 20 points, 9.5 rebounds, four assists and four blocked shots. Along with Scott County's Bud Mackey (an Indiana commitment) and University Heights' Scotty Hopson (a Mississippi State commitment) he is a frontrunner for the 2008 Kentucky "Mr. Basketball" award.
